          Many of us are blessed to have more than enough clothing, however as we know not everyone can say the same.  For this reason Blessed Handmaidens has organized this Israylite Heritage Committee.  Instead of throwing our unwanted clothing away, let give them away.  The purpose of this committee is to provide clothing and other essential items for the comfort and survival of our fellow human beings, who are in need and are unable to provide these basic necessities for themselves. Spare Closet does not give away any clothing that we ourselves would not wear.  Therefore, all clothing donations must be neat, clean, without rip or tear and made of no mixed fabrics. 

          A mixed fabric for example is one woven of cotton and wool.  Everything we do is in accordance with Yah’s law, fore it is our foundation.  Yah says to us: Guard my laws. Do not let your livestock mate with another kind.  Do not sow your field with mixed seed.  And do not put a garment woven of two sorts of thread upon you (Leviticus 19:19).  

          Literature and/or media is included in every package that we hand out.  We strive to illuminate the paths of righteousness for Yah’s name sake.  We want to be living examples of what it means to be an obedient servant of Yah.

The following is our opening goals:

-  To keep our shelves full of clothing and other essential items for those in need.

-  To open our Spare Closet doors at least twice a week for people to come by.
