A Lonely Walk

by: Yecheilyah Bhat Ysrayl

Have you ever witnessed the rushing blood of a lonely heartbeat? Or the sudden dryness of the voice when its laughed at as it speaks?

Or maybe you haven't been challenged, walking through the woods of evil, hate, dislike, and malice.

I mean, your thoughts have not been so excited with rage, that you scribble lonely thoughts upon an empty page?

I guess you haven't reached that stage.
But I've been in and out the doorway, as I am no longer a child, but sadness pops up like teenage acne bumps.

And the more and more I apply proactive, another Hebrew baby is shot through misguided actions.
My world, the Hebrew world, our world, is currently in a state of sorrow.

Simply because our brothers and sisters can care less about tomorrow.

Unless of course if tomorrow requires a restock of air force ones, brushing the dust off that Roca wear suit, anticipating the new Jordan's that are in high pursuit.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! We ballin now! You can't tell us nothing we ballin now!

Lets roll up this weed, go somewhere and get high! Com'on weekend, hurry up and come! So we could go to church and give all praises to the sun.

Cuz man those two days I had way too much fun. I partied on Friday night, fornicated on Saturday, now all I need is to praise "Jesus" and he'll wash those sins away.

Only to start anew the very next day.

People are afraid. Blue color, brown color, yellow color, any color, we are all afraid. Afraid of change. Afraid of a revolution; afraid of a brighter, tighter, more righteous solution. That is why this is a lonely walk.

Don't you dare teach that mute to talk. And that drug dealer, he deals, that thief he steals, that player of games he plays, and doesn't mind repeating the phase the very next day.
The poor are afraid that they too will survive, and the rich are afraid that without that title, they'll die.

Baggy jeans or the lust for material things is the poor mans pride, and diamond rings is a place where the rich man hides.
Thus we are all afraid, afraid of changing our name.

Afraid of what'll happen if we cease playing our games.

What will happen if were not looked at the same all because of change, but what is change?

What will happen if we think outside the box? If for one moment we put on shoes without socks?

If we allow our hair to nap up and wear locks? What would Satan think of us if we all changed? If we gave up on him and start calling on YAH's name?
Will we be as popular? As accepted? Or just the same?
Such a lonely, lonely walk. Because change is too hard to do today.

We'll just go to church and give all praises to the sun.

Cuz man this past week I had way too much fun. Partied on Friday night, fornicated on Saturday, so now let's praise "Jesus" so that he'll wash our sins away.
But only to start anew, the very next day.......
